Brigantine/Clipper at Shipyard Golf Club
The home of Hilton Head Seniors International from 1982 to 1984, Shipyard Golf Club was rated as one of the finest layouts on the PGA Senior Tour.
This 27-hole layout wanders through tall pines, magnolias and moss-draped oaks at the southern end of Hilton Head Island. Adding to the beauty and character of the course are many lagoons and ponds, which must be negotiated if you are to play to your best.
Accurate tee shots and well-measured approaches are must on this championship layout. The greens are very large and well bunkered, and their tiered, undulating surfaces demand a delicate touch.
